If for any reason you are unhappy with your order and would like a refund or exchange then please return it to us within 14 working days of receipt and in new, unused condition for a full refund, excluding any delivery charges.

Cleaning and care

Washing

Our upgraded footstools feature a machine washable, removable cover for easy cleaning.

Simply unzip the cover, shake off any loose debris then either hand wash with a light detergent or pop in the washing machine on a 40 degree cycle using non-biological washing detergent.

Allow to air dry naturally. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.

Microfibres

While the majority of our products are fully machine washable, we urge you to only do so when they really need it. This small step will significantly reduce the impact of microfibre shedding and prolong the life of your products. Read more about that here: Tackling Microfibres.

Pilling

Our recycled plastic yarn is designed to look and feel every bit as soft and luxurious as wool and cotton. That means some pilling may occur over time.

As with all products that pill after use, we recommend using a pilling comb or fabric trimmer as and where needed.

A practical, comfortable and great looking addition to any home, these gorgeous red, blue and beige footstools are perfect for putting our feet up after a long day. 

Made using the same flat weave material as our extra-tough Nomad rugs, Taurus Footstools feature a machine-washable removable cover for easy cleaning and a plant-based inner made from BioFoam®. A brilliant alternative to polystyrene, BioFoam offers all the properties of man-made foam yet is made only from vegetable materials and is fully biodegradable (but don't worry, it has a lifespan of around 50 years!).

Wonderfully woven

Our Nomad Taurus Footstool covers are skillfully hand-woven by craftspeople who are paid fairly and provided with comfortable working conditions.

Every piece of fabric is hand-loomed using our amazing recycled plastic yarn which we've designed to offer all the charm of a natural fabric. As a result, every product is unique meaning some minor variations in colour and size can be expected.

As the title says: Very good quality. Very firm. Material is a bit knobbly

The filling does not have much give (although it improves slightly with use). So a bit frim to sit on, but fine as a footstool. Also filling tends to shift to one side and stay there and needs a whack to get it back in shape. Of course, I am comparing this with old leather poufs that were filled with polystyrene beads (that needed topping up evey year or so ) - these were more forgiving.

Can't comment on whether these ones will need topping up. Time will tell.

But overall we are pleasd with it (so much so that we puchased a second one).

We like to fill our footstools generously, allowing for when the eco beads compress a little, much like polystyrene beads do. The fabric will also give a little after use, so the combination between the two is why we tend to fill them up like this at the beginning. We also provide refill bags for when the beads have compressed a great deal, so you can top it up so it is like new again.
With regards to the material, I can only assume that you are referring to the kilim weave type. We have skilled artisans who weave the rug fabric in the traditional way, but using our wonder yarn, so they are as true to a wool kilim as possible. I personally have 2 footstools, and have found after use this has softened nicely.
