If for any reason you are unhappy with your order and would like a refund or exchange then please return it to us within 14 working days of receipt and in new, unused condition for a full refund, excluding any delivery charges.

Cleaning and care

Washing

Hoover loose debris from your rug using a low suction setting without the brush function, or give it a good shake outside. Hand wash with a light detergent or pop smaller rugs (up to the size 180cm x 120cm) into the washing machine on a 30-40 degree cycle using a non-biological washing detergent.

For larger rugs, use a commercial-sized drum at your local launderette or simply hose down outside.

Our rugs emerge from the washing machine virtually dry, so simply hang on the line to fully air dry. Do not dry clean or tumble dry.

Microfibres

While the majority of our products are fully machine washable, we urge you to only do so when they really need it. This small step will significantly reduce the impact of microfibre shedding and prolong the life of your products. Read more about that here: Tackling Microfibres.

Pilling

Our recycled plastic yarn is designed to look and feel every bit as soft and luxurious as wool. As with wool and natural fibres some pilling can occur, as can some yarn snagging though these are usually easy to repair.

As with all wool products that pill after use, we recommend using a pilling comb or fabric trimmer as and where needed. This will remove the bobbles and freshen up the look of your rug in no time.

Superseding our Brighton Stripe range, Polperro Rugs feature the same classic stripe design but with a tighter, tougher weave. Made entirely from recycled plastic bottles, each Polperro Stripe Coral Rug is as soft as wool yet stain-resistant, machine washable and very easy to clean.

Made from 100% recycled plastic bottles, moths won't eat them, dust mites won't nest in them and, like all of our products, these coral stripe rugs are perfect for allergy sufferers.

All rugs perform at their best when used with good quality rug underlay. Not only will underlay keep your Polperro Stripe Coral Rug in place, it also adds to the cushioning and helps to protect the floor beneath.

Ordered Polperro Stripe Chinchilla

I ordered this design in Dover grey and chinchilla back in July, and to anyone seeing this, be prepared to purchase an underlay seperately, The rug is extremely thin and struggles to lay flat

Hi Zeyneb, Thank you for your feedback. Sorry to hear that you feel the rug is thin and struggles to lay flat. Our Polperro rugs are one of our lovely looser woven ranges that we have designed to be soft and supple underfoot, so there can be a little more movement and fluidity when placing the rug down or adjusting it in to its designated area. We would also recommend using our luxury underlay. It is a great addition to any rug, providing cushioning and comfort, while keeping your lovely rug secure in place and helping to stick the rug fully to 'iron out' any creases or aid with it lying flat. It works on both hard floors and carpeted floors.

Nice but...

I ordered the Nomad Patara Rug back in April and was super pleased with both the look and the quality of that rug. I'm less impressed with the Polperro Stripe rug as it doesn't feel of the same quality and whilst it's a lovely colour, it has creases which remain no matter what I've tried - not enough to return it but a little disappointing nonetheless.

We are sorry to hear that you feel the Polperro rug is not the same quality as the Nomad Patara you have received beforehand. Our Polperro rug range is one of our looser woven rug designs, so is much softer and more pliable in comparison to the densely woven traditional kilim weaves like the Nomad Patara. We try to portray the differences of our rug weaves as best as we can online, but I will be sure to share your feedback with our marketing team. For any creases in our rugs, we recommend using our rug underlay which is perfect to smooth out the rugs fully and remove any creases over time.
